Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9/5/2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Methods University (methodsuniversity.com) and related services (the "Service"). By creating an account, purchasing content, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Educational purpose only

Methods University is a marketplace for educational content about fraud prevention, cybersecurity awareness, consumer protection, and related topics. All content is provided for lawful educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, or professional advice. You are solely responsible for your own conduct and for complying with all applicable laws.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service.
  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may refuse, suspend, or terminate accounts at our discretion, including for violations of these Terms or applicable law.

3. Creator accounts and content

  • Creators may open an "academy" and publish items for sale or as part of a monthly subscription.
  • You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant Methods University a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and deliver your content to buyers and subscribers as needed to operate the Service.
  • You represent that you have all rights necessary to upload your content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any law.
  • All items submitted for sale are subject to admin review and may be approved, denied, edited, or removed at our discretion.
  • Prohibited content includes, without limitation: stolen credentials or financial data, live payment card numbers, personally identifiable information of non-consenting individuals, malware, instructions to commit fraud or other crimes, sexual content involving minors, and content that violates applicable law.

4. Payments, subscriptions, and refunds

  • All prices are shown in U.S. dollars and are payable by card or Bitcoin.
  • All payments are processed by the platform; creators receive a revenue share as set out below.
  • Monthly academy subscriptions grant access to that academy's content for one month from the payment confirmation date. Subscriptions do not renew automatically — access ends at the period end and you may pay again at any time to restore access.
  • Bitcoin payments unlock access after 3 network confirmations. Rates are quoted at invoice creation and payments must be received before the invoice expires.
  • Due to the digital, immediately-accessible nature of the content, all sales are final and non-refundable unless required by law or expressly agreed by us in writing.

5. Creator earnings and payouts

  • Creators earn a share of the net revenue from purchases and subscriptions attributable to their academy, as configured in platform settings (currently 50%).
  • Creators may request payouts from their available balance via their creator dashboard. Payouts are processed manually by an administrator using the payout method requested.
  • You are responsible for all taxes on your earnings and for providing accurate payout information. We may withhold or reverse payouts in cases of chargebacks, fraud, or violation of these Terms.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to further any unlawful activity.
  • Share, resell, redistribute, or publicly post content you access through the Service.
  • Attempt to access accounts, content, or systems you are not authorized to access.
  • Interfere with, probe, or attack the Service, or bypass access controls or metering.
  • Use the Service to harass, defraud, or harm others.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its branding, design, and software, is owned by Methods University or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for rights expressly granted in these Terms, no license is granted to you.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with third-party providers (for example, payment processors and block explorers). Your use of those providers may be subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.

9. Disclaimers

The Service and all content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that content is accurate, complete, or current.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Methods University and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid to us in the 3 months preceding the claim or (b) US $100.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Methods University and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason, including violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

13. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Site operator is located, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law provides otherwise.
